Friday Word: Mixty-Maxty

Mixty-Maxty – Mixed Up, Confused, a mishmash.

I think this is a word that we should run out and start using right now! Sure, it feels great to say it, it has that onomatopoetic snap to it after all, but it’s really a great descriptive word too. How useful is this word? Some examples…

The wildly fluctuating temperatures caused me to don a mixty- maxty outfit of bikini top, flip flops, corduroys and a ski parka.

When the newlywed’s combined their households the result was a mixty-maxty décor where her heirloom Biedermeier chairs surrounded his wagon wheel coffee table.

Now you get the idea, why don’t you try it. Post a sentence using our Friday word and my favorite entry will be rewarded with my favorite mixty-maxty culinary combo chocolate and bacon! Or maybe just chocolate if that’s a little too much mixty-maxtyness for you.
